Questions about MyCPD
A few things to know before you start.
What is a CPD record?
A continuing professional development (CPD) record is a log of your learning activities, the time you spent and what you learned. It can help you prepare for a professional review or discuss your development with an employer.
Is MyCPD free to use?
Yes. You can create an account, track your CPD hours, add learning notes and download CSV records for free. There is no recurring subscription for tracking. Upload and download limits apply.
What activities can I add?
You can log online courses, workshops, webinars, conferences, reading and workplace learning. Your activities do not have to come from CPD Qualifications. Check which activities your employer or professional body accepts.
Can I keep certificates and other evidence?
You can attach PDF evidence to your activities. Each file can be up to 5 MB, with three files per activity and a total allowance of 100 files or 50 MB per account. Evidence is private to your account.
Can I download my CPD record as a PDF?
Professional PDF downloads are an optional £5.99 one-time upgrade. They include your recorded activities and learning notes. Online checkout is being prepared; free tracking and CSV downloads are available now.
Is my downloaded record a certificate?
No. A MyCPD download is a personal learning record, powered by CPD Qualifications. Entries are self-reported and do not confirm attendance, verify evidence or award accreditation or a qualification.
How many CPD hours do I need?
There is no single target for everyone. Your employer or professional body may set a requirement and decide which learning counts. You can set your own annual target in MyCPD to track progress against their requirements.
How do I get started?
Create an account using your name and email, confirm your email address, then add your first activity. Include its title, date and time spent; you can add learning outcomes, reflections and PDF evidence when useful.
